Ellensburg Police Adjusts CPL Processing

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

The Ellensburg Police Department (EPD) announced it will process concealed pistol license (CPL) applications and renewals by appointment only, effective immediately. Residents must call 509-962-7280 or email to schedule an appointment.

CPL fees are $48 for new applications, $32 for renewals, $42 for late renewals, and $10 for replacements. Payments must be made at the appointment via cash, check, or credit card, with credit card fees passed to customers. Applicants are asked to complete their forms beforehand and include their phone number.

The EPD also updated its traffic safety request process, stating such requests must be ongoing issues, not one-time violations, and will be handled in order of receipt. The Handle With Care program, adopted in November 2024, continues expanding across Kittitas County to address childhood trauma through school and first responder partnerships.
