Multiple roadwork projects will impact travel in the Ellensburg area this week. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced overnight lane closures on eastbound SR 522 from Campus Way Northeast to 131st Avenue Northeast, beginning Tuesday night, August 18 through Friday morning, August 21. A single lane will close nightly on US 12 over I-5 from August 10 through August 20 for bridge repairs, with a detour using I-5 Exit 71 and SR 508. I-405 will have multiple lane closures, including a left express toll lane closure from August 17 to 21 and southbound lane restrictions from August 17 to 19. Travelers should expect delays and follow detour signs. WSDOT advises slowing down and staying focused while navigating these work zones. The closures are scheduled to end by August 21, with some ending earlier on August 19.
